Laura Rice, LAC
Laura is inspired by Carl Roger’s quote,
And it shows in her work. Kind and compassionate, Laura
walks side by side with those she counsels with. The whole
person means a great deal to her, and she considers the
holistic health of each individual and meets her clients where
they are at. Her office is a safe space for individuals, couples
and families to work toward improving their relationships,
mindset and everyday life.
In Good Hands
Laura is experienced working with children, teens, adults, and
their families. She specializes in depression, anxiety, mood
disorders, relationship issues, trauma and behavioral
concerns. Never one to push, she works with her clients
towards their personal goals at a pace that is both comfortable for them and responsive to where they are at.
Laura is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC). She received her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and School Counseling from Chatham College in Pittsburgh, PA. Showing her commitment to excellence, Laura went on to receive an Applied Behavioral Analysis Certification through Penn State University, which lends her to a greater capacity to understand complex behaviors in children.
Laura has worked for more than 15 years as a counselor in a variety of settings such as public and private school systems, family homes, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. She has a proven track record of helping parents and teachers understand the complex behaviors and needs of their children.
Laura is a very calm and collected gal. Highly intelligent, she somehow balances her brains with a compassionate nature that wins you over in your first meeting with her. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, she and her family relocated to AZ in 2009 and have loved AZ living ever since. Laura and her husband have been married since 2002 and have 4 children and 2 dogs. A soccer mom through and through, she enjoys family time, running, and the great outdoors.
