Michele's passion is helping people find inner healing and peace as well as enhancing their ability to successfully connect with others in a meaningful and satisfying way. She specializes in anxiety and depression symptoms, whether caused by major childhood or adult trauma, simply feeling stuck in an undesirable place in life or somewhere in between. Michele is currently under the supervision of Jonathan Harrop and is in training for Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She plans to become nationally certified with the respective governing international associations.

Michele completed her practicum in Portland, Oregon at

Providence Hospital Chemical Dependency and

Stabilization Unit (CDSU) offering enhanced service of

individual and family systems counseling usually deferred

to outpatient care. After moving to Arizona, Michele

pioneered the first out-of-state internship through George

Fox University in conjunction with Mending Hearts Family

Services in Glendale, Arizona. Michele's primary focus was

on couples, families and children implementing modalities such as Child Centered Play

Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and enhanced parenting skills with focus on attachment.

Michele has experience working with couples to create a stronger and more satisfying connection by creating a safe place for the couple to have open honest conversations. Often this involves processing past hurts and identifying the maladaptive response patterns within each individual and between them as a couple. For some couples, one person or both have experienced some form or level of trauma that requires additional attention. Michele is currently in the process of becoming certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to improve her work with those needing to clear out difficult or even traumatic mental and emotional blocks.
