Philosophy
Christina loves working with children! She is deeply committed to creating safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed spaces where they can feel completely supported. She believes that when children feel understood and valued, meaningful growth can truly happen.
Focus
Christina’s passion for counseling grew naturally from her time as an educator for more than 15 years. Day after day, she saw that children learn best when they feel safe, heard, and emotionally supported. While academics mattered, some of the most meaningful moments came from simply listening—helping a child name their feelings, work through challenges, or feel less alone during a difficult time.
Moving into counseling feels like a natural continuation of the work Christina has always loved: advocating for children, nurturing resilience, and helping them develop the emotional skills they need to succeed in school and in life. She strives to create a warm, trusting environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. As a counselor, Christina hopes to walk alongside her clients through both challenges and growth, supporting them as they build confidence, emotional awareness, and healthy coping strategies.
Education
Christina is a caring, dedicated educator who is transitioning into the counseling field after more than 15 years of working closely with children and families. Throughout her career, she has built strong relationships rooted in trust, empathy, and open communication. This background has given her a deep understanding of how emotional well-being, behavior, and learning are closely connected.
Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Community Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Dakota, Christina is expanding her skills in counseling theory, ethics, and culturally responsive care. She previously earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University.
Personal Life
Christina was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, and remains deeply connected to her roots. She is a proud mom to three young boys and enjoys spending time with them and her husband. As a family, they love traveling, playing baseball, and cheering on their favorite teams—especially the Green Bay Packers and, above all, the Los Angeles Dodgers. Family, laughter, and making memories together – these matter the most to her!
