About East Valley Family Therapy

Daniel Parke, LCSW

Queen Creek Office & Online

Trauma Informed

Daniel offers a trauma informed approach to therapy which draws largely from training and experience with EMDR, mindfulness  skills and Emotional Freedom Technique.  Daniel is especially skilled at helping individuals heal from the impact of past experiences which drives the anxiety or depression that impacts their day to day life.

Relationship Focused

Daniel is also trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), one of the most effective forms of couples therapy.  This guides his efforts to support couples in navigating conflict in their relationship as well as assisting them in developing a deeper sense of connection with each other.

Approach

Kind, open-minded, and even-keeled, Daniel provides a counseling relationship that fosters a sense of safety.  In session, Daniel focuses on validating client’s experiences and perspectives, honoring their strengths and successes, encouraging compassion for themselves and others and asking questions that help to elicit self-awareness and insight.

Credentials

An experienced counselor, Daniel has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Arizona since 2006, after having received his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University in 2003.  He worked at ANASAZI Foundation, a residential program, for over twelve years as either a therapist, clinical coordinator or clinical supervisor.  Prior to coming to East Valley Family Therapy, Daniel also provided counseling to individuals and couples at various outpatient settings for over nine years.

Personal Life

One of Daniel’s favorite things to do is having meaningful conversations with his wife, Ginger.  They’ve been married for over twenty years and love to talk about everything under the sun!  If Daniel had a choice, he’d live off of chips and salsa along with anything spicy, for that matter.  Raised in Montana with his identical twin brother and other siblings, he grew up playing sports and working on his family’s farm. A contented introvert, he loves the comfort of his own home, as well as listening to audiobooks and podcasts that expand his mind and heart.  He also enjoys meditating, running, lifting weights, and hanging out with his daughter and three sons.
